Description

Product Brief

JANCD-XIO02 is a universal digital I/O expansion board for Yaskawa XRC Motoman robot controllers. It expands system switching signal channels, realizing stable signal interaction between robot main control unit and on-site automation peripherals.

Model Definition

JANCD: General circuit board prefix of Yaskawa robot control cabinet
XIO: Digital input/output expansion board series dedicated to XRC robot system
02: Second-generation optimized hardware version with enhanced anti-interference design

Technical Parameters

DC24V signal power supply, equipped with 16 digital input channels and 16 relay output channels. Built-in surge absorption and EMI filtering circuits. Operating temperature 0–55℃, storage temperature -20–70℃, humidity 5%–95%RH without condensation, IP10 protection grade, VME plug-in structure for cabinet installation.

Interface and Communication Configuration

Internal VME backplane connector completes high-speed bus data exchange with XCP main CPU board. External multi-pin terminal block connects proximity sensors, safety interlock switches, solenoid valves and indicator lights. Independent LED indicators for each channel reflect real-time input/output state and wiring faults.

Core Functions

Collect external detection, safety and operation input signals and transmit to the main control board. Output relay switch signals to drive fixtures, lubrication equipment and alarm devices. Real-time self-diagnosis of signal line open-circuit and short-circuit faults, uploading alarm information to CPU. Effectively expand the limited native I/O capacity of XRC robot controllers.

Application Scenarios

Compatible with all XRC series robot cabinets and Motoman UP, HP, EA multi-axis manipulators. Widely deployed on automatic welding, workpiece handling, precision assembly, grinding and spraying robotic production lines as replacement spare parts for signal expansion.

Operation and Maintenance Instructions

Disconnect cabinet main power and wait 10 minutes for capacitor full discharge before disassembly or wiring. Maintain dry and ventilated cabinet environment to avoid welding smoke, oil mist and metal dust attached to circuit traces. Regularly check backplane sockets and external terminals for looseness and oxidation. Clean surface dust with dry compressed air every three months. Replace the board timely if frequent channel signal loss or relay output malfunction appears.
