4256A26G01 is the legacy Westinghouse part number, while 1C31183G01 is Emerson’s unified aftermarket spare part number. Both codes represent the same remote I/O expansion interface board designed for the Ovation WDPF distributed control system, working in coordination with 4256A25 series MRC main remote control boards. This module serves as a signal transmission bridge between MRC master cards and multiple field remote I/O sub-racks, expanding the access quantity of field remote stations and performing remote data buffering, bus signal reshaping and secondary communication scheduling. It is fully plug-and-play and backward compatible with all MRC master board versions without system configuration modification. Equipped with reinforced bus signal driving circuits and larger signal cache capacity, it outperforms older expansion boards in load capacity and communication stability. The board adopts multi-layer high-temperature resistant FR-4 industrial PCB with full enclosed electromagnetic shielding. A 1000V AC/DC galvanic isolation barrier separates field wiring terminals and internal logic circuits to suppress electromagnetic noise from inverters, high-voltage switchgears and heavy rotating machinery in thermal power, petrochemical and metallurgical sites. Every unit passes rigorous factory validation including 72-hour high-low temperature cyclic aging, full-load long-term bus communication burn-in and channel fault simulation. It supports single-slot hot-swappable installation without shutting down the entire DCS system, and integrates multi-level hardware protections including surge suppression, overvoltage, overcurrent, reverse polarity and short-circuit prevention. Built-in LED diagnostic lights indicate power status, bus connection and channel faults for quick on-site troubleshooting, greatly improving the expandability of large multi-station DCS systems and cutting unplanned production downtime.
