1. Overview
This module adopts standard Ovation rack plug-in installation structure, compatible with standard rack backplane slots. The main DC power output from redundant power supply modules is connected to this distribution module first, then split into multiple independent branch power circuits. Each branch is equipped with independent fusing protection, voltage sampling and status feedback circuits. It transmits power to each slot DPU and I/O modules in the rack, meanwhile uploads branch overvoltage, undervoltage, fuse blown and overload fault signals to DPU and upper monitoring system via backplane bus. Every unit undergoes factory full-load current testing, voltage accuracy verification and insulation withstand test to ensure long-term stable power distribution performance.
2. Core Functional Features
2.1 Multi-channel Independent Branch Power Distribution
Realizes one-input multi-output power branching, each output branch supplies power to fixed rack slots or module groups; each branch is electrically isolated from one another, single branch overload or short circuit will not affect other power branches and the total input power supply.
2.2 Independent Fuse Protection Per Output Branch
Each power branch is configured with a replaceable dedicated fuse. Short-circuit, overload fault on a single branch only blows its own fuse, without rack-wide power loss; spare fuse positions are reserved for quick on-site replacement and maintenance.
2.2 Real-time Power Parameter Monitoring
Onboard voltage and current sampling circuits continuously detect each branch output voltage, load current and module internal temperature. Operation data can be uploaded remotely to the operator station for real-time viewing and trend recording.
2.4 Automatic Fault Alarm & Latching
Once fuse blown, branch undervoltage/overvoltage, overload or over-temperature occurs, the module latches the fault state, triggers local panel fault indicator light, and sends fault alarm signal to upper monitoring platform for remote prompt.
2.5 Supports Hot-swap Online Maintenance
When the cabinet is equipped with dual redundant main power supplies, the distribution module can be replaced online without cutting off the whole cabinet power supply; existing control loops and running logic keep continuous operation without disturbance.
2.6 Built-in EMI Filter & Anti-interference Design
Input side integrates high-frequency filter circuit, suppresses power grid surge and electromagnetic interference coupled into the DCS control loop, reduces power ripple, improves stability of module working voltage.
2.7 Perfect Native System Compatibility
Fully matched with Ovation standard rack backplanes, redundant power supply modules, DPUs and full series I/O modules; no adapter board or cabinet modification needed during installation, applicable for new cabinet assembly and spare part replacement during unit renovation.
